3-Year/36,000-Mile Limited Warranty Terms

ELECTRON AUTOMOTIVE’S 3-YEAR/36,000-MILE LIMITED WARRANTY

Electron Automotive stands behind all of our repair and maintenance service work. We warrant that services and repairs performed by us on your vehicle will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, subject to the terms and conditions listed below.


WHAT IS COVERED:

  • Air Conditioning, heating, and climate control systems
  • Brake system
  • Engine cooling system
  • Electrical system, including the starting and charging systems (up to 12-volt systems)
  • Engine performance, drivability services, and repair
  • Exhaust system
  • Fuel system
  • Ignition system
  • Electronic engine management system and on-board computer systems (engine, body, brake, and suspension computers)
  • Cruise control system
  • Steering/suspension system, wheel bearings, CV joints/U-joints, half-shafts, and drive-shafts
  • Timing Belts
  • Other minor repairs


WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY:

You must pay for any non-warranty service you order to be performed at the same time as any warranty service. This limited warranty will not apply to your repaired vehicle if it has been damaged by abnormal use, misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, or “tampered with” by anyone other than employees of Electron Automotive. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT IN ANY WAY INCLUDE INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.


EXCLUDED REPAIRS & SERVICES

This Limited Warranty does not cover repairs or services that are not listed in the section above. Specifically excluded from this limited warranty are any parts listed under a VEHICLE MANUFACTURER RECALL OR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN, performance modifications and associated parts, auto body paint or molding, glass and tire repairs, used parts, anti-theft systems, navigation systems, airbags, seatbelts, and/or collision sensors.


In addition, this limited warranty does not cover inaccurate odometers, odometers that have been inoperative, or those that have been altered in any way so that the true mileage cannot be verified. Any attempt to alter the odometer will automatically void this warranty. This limited warranty is not valid for commercial vehicles or for any vehicle exceeding 19,500 lbs.


TERMS & CONDITIONS

Electron’s warranty covers the types of repairs and services listed above, but it is limited by the terms, conditions, and exclusions listed below.

Electron Automotive warranties the services and repairs listed above, if performed by Electron Automotive, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years/36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Warranty time and mileage are calculated from the date of service and the odometer reading on the original repair or service invoice from Electron Automotive. This warranty is conditioned upon the vehicle being used only for normal, non-commercial purposes and receiving reasonable and necessary service and maintenance during the warranty period. This limited warranty does not and will not apply if any of the repair or maintenance services listed on the original invoice as recommended by Electron Automotive were declined by the owner or if the owner failed to authorize specific labor, parts, and/or services as required for Electron Automotive to perform up to their standards of satisfactory performance.


Warranty repair and maintenance service costs shall in no case exceed the costs of the original repair or service. If a defect in either materials or workmanship is discovered within the warranty period, Electron Automotive has the option to perform remedial service work at no charge to you, replace the defective warranted part(s) without charge to you, or refund the entire charge for the warranted repairs and maintenance services, less any previous refunds or discounts for the same warrantied repairs and services.


Electron Automotive hereby agrees that the vehicle owner of the warranted repairs and services has the right to have warranty services performed during the warranty period. In addition, Electron Automotive hereby agrees to extend the warranty period by the number of days during which the vehicle was unable to be used due to the warrantied repairs and maintenance services. Defects discovered during the warranty period will not expire until the defect is fixed, even if the warranty period had already expired before the defect is fixed. In addition, Electron Automotive will extend the warranty period if the warranty repairs have not been performed due to delays caused by circumstances beyond the control of the owner, or if the warranty repairs did not remedy the defect, and the owner notifies Electron Automotive of the failure of warrantied repairs within sixty (60) days of warrantied repairs being completed.


If, after a reasonable number of attempts, the defect in materials or workmanship has not been fixed, the owner may return his vehicle for replacement of parts, if applicable, or a refund, in either case, subject to deduction of a reasonable charge for usage. This extension of time does not affect the protections and/or remedies that are provided to the vehicle owner under the laws of the State of California.
